How Do I Use WordBoard Cloud Backups?
WordBoard backs up your keys to your own iCloud Drive, so you can get them back on a new phone, after reinstalling, or on another device.
How backups work
- WordBoard saves a backup automatically after you change your keys, one backup per device per day.
- You can also save one any time with Backup Now.
- Backups include your images, folders and colours.
- Backups live in your private iCloud. We can't see or access them.
iCloud Drive needs to be turned on. If it's off you'll see an "iCloud Error" message. Turn it on in the Settings app → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive, and make sure WordBoard is allowed.
Restore your keys
- Open WordBoard and sign in to the same Apple Account you used before.
- If you have WordBoard Pro, restore your purchase first. Restoring backups is part of Pro.
- Go to the More tab and tap Cloud Backups.
- Tap the backup you want. Each one shows the device name and date.
- Choose Merge Backup to add those keys to the keys you already have, or Delete All Keys & Restore Backup to replace your current keys with the backup.

Not sure which to pick? Merge Backup is the safe choice. It never deletes anything.
