Why Does WordBoard Need Full Access?

Your keys are stored in the WordBoard app, and iOS only lets a keyboard read them when Full Access is turned on. Without it, WordBoard can only show sample keys.

Full Access is also needed to:

  • copy images when you tap an image key, and read the clipboard for the {{ clipboard }} variable
  • add new keys from the keyboard (Add Clipboard and Add Selected)
  • open the app from the keyboard and use Edit in App
  • use haptic feedback

Your privacy

The WordBoard keyboard has no internet access built in. It doesn't record what you type, and it doesn't send anything anywhere. Your keys stay on your device and in your private iCloud backups.

Apple shows the same Full Access warning for every third-party keyboard.
