Why Does WordBoard Disappear Or Switch Back To The Apple Keyboard?
A few things can make WordBoard look empty, go missing, or switch back to Apple's keyboard.
The keyboard is blank or only shows sample keys
Full Access has been turned off, which can happen after an iOS update. Go to the Settings app → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → WordBoard and turn on Allow Full Access.
It switches back to the Apple keyboard
- iOS always uses Apple's keyboard in password and other secure fields.
- Some apps, such as banking apps, block third-party keyboards.
- iOS sometimes switches back after an app restarts or when memory is low.
WordBoard is for your keys, not for everyday typing, so you'll switch to it when you need it. Tap the globe 🌐 key, or touch and hold it and pick WordBoard. More on switching keyboards.
WordBoard isn't in the list at all
Add it again in the Settings app → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… Full steps.
Keys look wrong or overlap
Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store. You can also change the size of the keys. Here's how.
